Is sleep apnea treatments covered by medicare?
You need to talk to the homecare company that provides the equipment. They generally rent the machine and you are eligible for a new mask approx every 6 months.

I have several friends who have run into trouble getting their treatments covered. You have to find a doctor who has experience billing this.

generally yes, but it depends on your coverage. Different insurance companies cover Medicare and each of them has their own set of rules. They are, in general, all the same but sometimes there’s a quirk in the system. Check withj the doctor’s office who prescribed the CPAP, they usually know quite a bit about it.
