most people with sleep apnea snore and cough and just cant rest. my 6 year old daughter had it . there is a chance you could have tonsils removed or tubes put in your ears or even a tonsil reduction can help

Well, everyone else seemed to answer it well. I have it, and the best thing I have ever done to prevent it is just getting into the habit of sleeping on my side. It’s nearly non existent. When I fall asleep on my back, however, I can almost guarantee that I will awaken, completely panic stricken, choking for breath, and swearing I’m about to die.

Don’t supplement my words for a skilled evaluation though. My condition is minor, but some people can have serious complications if no treatment is administered. I hope this helps you.
