How do you turn the volume down on a sleep apnea machine? aprea?
Are you refering to noise? or are you refering to volume as in volume of air? That has to be set in inches of water by a technician, based on the prescription from your doctor. Every machine is adjusted differently some can be set manually programed using the LCD indicator on the machine. The directions come with the machine when it is delivered from the manufacturer. They are removed just before they are delivered to the patient. Basically it is a combination of the controls being pushed down at the same time and being held until the LCD changes based on the brand. You can set the ramp up time the delay to get to the pressure as well as the pressure like mine is 10 inches of water!
It should REALLY BE SET BY THE HEALTH SERVICE PERSONNEL!
There is no way to adjust the sound!

If your CPAP device is making a great deal of noise, it is most likely from a leak, most often this is at the mask ( sometimes called the interface) or even in the tubing connections. The CPAP machine attempts to compensate for this leak by increasing flow, this increases the noise. The noise should no be excessive from your CPAP device. It must be noted that all CPAP devices have some leak, excessive leak is what we are talking about here.

Home devices are preset by the manufacturer, the only way to turn it down is to have a representative from the company come to physically make the change.
